The 21-year old striker, who arrived at Málaga on a free transfer last summer from FC Barcelona, completed a superb 2016/17 and re-launched all his records in the First Division. Sandro scored 14 goals in 30 LaLiga Santander matches, plus another two goals in one Copa del Rey game.
His achievements placed him as the fourth highest national goal scorer in the First Division, and his goals were synonymous with victory, scoring in 11 out of 12 MCF wins in LaLiga. La Rosaleda witnessed 11 of the Spain U-21 international’s total of 16 goals in the 2016/17 season.
Málaga Club de Fútbol would like to thank Sandro for his professionalism over the season, and wish him luck on this new phase of his career in the United Kingdom.
