Samuel García knows how difficult it is to reach the First Division.  So far, his career has steered him from ‘Club Conejitos de La Luz’ as a young boy, to the Blue and Whites’ first team, taking in the British Isles and other teams in the province along the way, until he joined the ranks of Atlético Malagueño in 2010/11.
The 2012/13 season was his best year with the reserve team, where he scored 13 goals and the boys reached the Second Division B promotion play-offs.  This led to Samuel García being subsequently called-up to join the first team in pre-season training, under the orders of Bernd Schuster.
Samuel didn’t waste his opportunity and during that summer convinced the coaching team and sporting directors that he deserved a place in Málaga CF’s first team.  On 17th August 2013, Samuel García Sánchez made his First Division debut against Valencia CF at the Mestalla stadium.  Throughout 2012/13 the Málaga-born player took part in 28 League and Copa del Rey matches, scoring four beautifully crafted, decisive goals against Real Betis, Sevilla FC, Osasuna and Atlético de Madrid.
2014/15 season
This is Samuel’s second season with Málaga CF’s first team.  So far he has played in 31 matches, where he’s scored impressive, important goals against Córdoba CF, Rayo Vallecano, Almería and Celta de Vigo.
