The homegrown defender took part in the three matches played by Luis de la Fuente’s team. On Tuesday 30th January, Robles was in the starting line-up and played the 90 minutes of the Spain – Czech Republic clash (1-1), corresponding to the first match of the tournament.
A day later, the Pizarra-born number ‘2’ played the final 15 minutes of Spain’s triumph against the Canary Islands team (0-4), hosts of this traditional event within the lower categories.
Lastly, in the final match of the competition, Álex returned to the starting line-up on the right wing, playing the entire match between Spain and Japan, which Spain won by 2-0 to go on to claim the title.
