Roberto: “There’s a long way to go and we’re going to get there”

Málaga CF goalkeeper, Roberto Jiménez was named Man of the Match by fans in #MálagaLeganés: “I’m grateful to the fans as they always support us to the end”.

The goalkeeper, who is recovering from a contracture to the right sartorius, was recognised by Malaguista fans as MVP of the match against CD Leganés, corresponding to LaLiga Santander matchday 8. Málaga-based company, Joyería Marcos, and multinational watch brand, Hublot are sponsoring this accolade, that the Madrid-born keeper previously won against UD Las Palmas.

Message

“We need to stay positive and always try and look for the good in every situation. At the end of the day, we need to play every single game at the highest possible level”.

Recipe

“Sticking together, being as professional as we can, and within the dressing room we must analyse the details and look for a solution. There’s a long way to go and we’re going to get there”.

Fans

“It’s these situations where we feel comfortable surrounded by our people. Although our fans are hurt when their team loses, they always support us to the end”.

MVP

“I’m grateful for all the votes. It’s always nice to know that people have confidence in you and value your work, regardless of the results”.
