The 19 year-old is a midfielder, and the only footballer from his country to play for the under-17’s, under-20’s and first team all in the same year, totalling seven international games.  Roberto Chen will be officially presented at La Rosaleda on Monday 5th August at midday.

Roberto Chen started his career in the lower ranks of San Francisco FC, where he made his debut in the 2010 ‘Torneo Apertura’ at just 17 years of age.  In 2011 he won the ‘Torneo Clausura’ and qualification to the Concacaf Champions League, his first time in a continental competition.

Playing for Panama
The young 19 year-old is the only player from Panama to represent the under-17’s, under-20’s and first team, in which he made his debut in 2011 at just 17 years old.  Roberto Chen also played for Panama this year in the Concacaf ‘Copa de Oro’, in which they lost to the US in the final, having previously knocked out Cuba and Mexico.
