Renato Santos reinforces the right wing of the attack

Right-winger Renato Santos becomes the second Blue and Whites’ signing of the season. Coming from Portuguese side, Boavista, he signs to Málaga CF until the 2020/21 season. Tomorrow, Wednesday at 11:30, he will be presented to the media at La Rosaleda.

The new Malaguista player arrived in Málaga yesterday, Monday and successfully passed the medical at Hospital Vithas Parque San Antonio and Vithas Salud Rincón Medical Center Rosaleda.

Career in Portugal

Renato Joao Saleiro Santos was born on 5th October 1991 in Pardilhó (Portugal). Following a period of training at CD Estarreja (1999-03), he began a long journey through the youth ranks of historic Sporting Clube de Portugal (2003-10). Now as a professional, he signed to Rio Ave FC where he stayed for five years (2010-15).

Always in Portugal, he gained experience on loan to Moreirense FC (2010-12), Desportivo Aves (2012/13) and CD Tondela (2014/15), the latter club with whom he won the Second Division championship. A winger or forward on both wings, he caught the attention of one of the great Portuguese sides, FC Boavista, the club where he arrives from and where he played between 2015 and 2018. In the last league competition, Renato played 25 games and scored five goals with the team, finishing 8th in the Liga NOS.
