Recovery session after the Copa del Rey win and 48 hours before Castellón
Málaga CF resumed training this Friday afternoon at the Annexe, having secured qualification to the second round of the Copa del Rey, and with the match against CD Castellón coming up in less than two days.
The Malaguista squad trained this Friday afternoon in a session that began at 18:00 at La Rosaleda’s Annexe, after defeating CD Estepona last night (Thursday) to secure their place in the second round of the Copa del Rey, and just two days before their 12th LALIGA HYPERMOTION match against CD Castellón at the Skyfi Castalia Stadium (Sunday, 18:30).
On this training day, the outfield players with the most minutes under their belt did a lighter recovery session during this week with three matches, while the rest of the group carried out a more intense workload.
Forward Chupe trained outside the main group due to discomfort in his left hamstrings and will be monitored as he progresses. Meanwhile, Puga, Pastor, Moussa, Ramón, Luismi, and Niño continue with their respective recovery processes.
Goalkeeper Mateos, along with regular youth defenders Recio and Rafita, were the homegrown players involved in the session.
Tomorrow, Saturday, will be the final training session before #CastellónMálaga, with the entire team back together to make final adjustments at La Rosaleda’s facilities.
