Recovery session with sights set on the return Copa match
Málaga Club de Fútbol trained for another day at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
Sunday’s morning session was characterised by light recovery work for those players who took part in last night’s league match at La Rosaleda against Atlético de Madrid.
For their part, the rest of the Malaguista squad had a more intense training in which they carried out physical-tactical exercises with and without the ball, defence-attack moves, and a mini-match on a reduced finished off the session that was attended by Málaga Club de Fútbol’s General Manager, Fernando Hierro.
In this morning’s session the absentees included Cazolra, Isco, Demichelis and Weligton, who were in the gym after suffering various knocks in the Atlético match, but which weren’t serious enough to hinder their game.
On the other hand, Joaquín and Helder continued their recovery treatments for their respective injuries, whilst the Brazilian striker, Baptista, did the same in the Clinic.
Málaga CF will return to training tomorrow, Monday 9th January, in a closed session at La Rosaleda, on the eve of the return match of the second leg of the Copa del Rey that takes place on Tuesday 10th at La Rosaleda.
