Adalberto Peñaranda joins Roberto Rosales, Juanpi Añor and Mikel Villanueva as Málaga CF players born in Venezuela. All four are internationals with the ‘Vintotinto’ first team.
Next to them are the trio of Uruguayans this 2016/17 season: Chory Castro, Fede Ricca and Michael Santos, as well as coach, Marcelo Romero, and Spanish-Uruguayan player from the reserve team, Kuki Zalazar, a regular in first team training sessions.
In 2010/11, four Brazilians formed part of the Malaguista squad (Weligton, Baptista, Galatto and Sandro Silva) and four Portuguese (Duda, Eliseu, Edinho and Hélder Rosario).
