Málaga CF - Real Sociedad ‘B’ match preview

Málaga CF hosts Real Sociedad ‘B’ at La Rosaleda on league matchday 2. It’s the second consecutive home game for the Blue and Whites, this Sunday at 21:30.

The Malaguistas, who picked up a point in their debut last week against SD Eibar, face a recently promoted Real Sociedad reserve team that earned the first three points at stake.

Referee Alonso de Ena Wolf will officiate the match, with Óliver de la Fuente Ramos in charge of the VAR.

•    This is the second time Málaga CF and Real Sociedad ‘B’ face each other in an official match in the Second Division at La Rosaleda Stadium.

•    The only previous meeting, a victorious one for Málaga, dates back to matchday 14 of the 21/22 season. It was a 2-1 comeback win after Luca Sangalli, a former player of both clubs, put the visitors ahead in the 7th minute. Roberto (9’) and Paulino (29’) were the scorers for the team then coached by José Alberto López.

•    Real Sociedad ‘B’ are playing their second season in the current LIGA HYPERMOTION. Under the former name of San Sebastián, the team spent two campaigns in the second tier of Spanish football (60/61 and 61/62).

•    In the nine seasons Málaga CF have played in the Second Division, on matchday 2, the team recorded three wins, four draws, and two losses. In the previous season, they drew 1-1 at Martiricos against CD Mirandés.
