Portillo: "Training with these players gets you back to being your best"
Blues and Whites midfielder Francisco Portillo, held a press conference at the municipal stadium in Málaga on Wednesday.
Statements from Portillo:
(Review of the season) On a personal level, a footballer wants to play minutes, but I’m young, relaxed, and work as hard as I can each day, ready for the opportunity. Collectively, things are going well, the team is up and playing good football. This is the dynamic needed to move forward, but it must be done game by game, and to not look further ahead than the Levante match.
(Confidence) There are great players here with an important history, some of us are young, and the one thing we have to do is work and learn from these players, to become great footballers like they are. Training alongside these players allows you to be the best, and have more confidence, which is a great compliment. I’m happy to keep working every day. Malagueño? At the moment nothing’s decided but of they decide he’s to be go on leave, I will step in no problem.
(Levante) It’s complicated, last year we didn’t win, they’re a good team with a lot of experience. They’re high up in the table on their own merits, but if we play well, we can be victorious.
(The future) A footballer wants to play, but we know that we’re young and feel privileged to form part of this team. Loan? I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I count on the trust of the boss. He speaks with us a lot, and his encouragement is always greatly appreciated.
