Physical work dominates the morning session

Málaga CF was back in training this Friday morning from 10:30 at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. Physical work marked today’s session for Míchel González’s team.

Following yesterday’s friendly in Cádiz against Hamburg, the team underwent a post-match session based on stretching, continuous running and preventive work in the gym, as well as rounds in groups using the ball in the final part of the session.

Roberto, Andrés Prieto and Cengo were present in today’s session, undergoing more personalised training under the instruction of goalkeeping coach, Paco Ruiz. Outside the group, with more intensity, were Miguel Torres and Adrián, alternating between physical training and work with the ball. In regard to yesterday’s session, only homegrown player, Abqar was absent, as he is in training today with Atlético Malagueño.

Borja Bastón and En-Nesyri, following the initial stretching exercises, focused on specific treatment in the gym, having suffered some discomfort since yesterday’s game. The number ‘9’ sustained a blow to his right calf muscle, and the Moroccan has a slight sprain to the external lateral ligament in his left ankle. For the second day on the run, Jony trained in the gym, with a sprain (grade I) to his right ankle.

Diego Rolan was absent with the Club’s permission, and Juankar visited his teammates showing his usual good spirits following his recent surgery in Madrid.

Tomorrow, Saturday at 11:30, Málaga will resume training at La Rosaleda stadium’s facilities.
