Penultimate training session of the week, in the Ciudad de Málaga stadium
Málaga Club de Fútbol’s first team underwent a training session this Friday morning, at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
In the penultimate session of the week, coach Manuel Pellegrini, had 25 players present this morning, including Joaquín Sánchez, who is back training with the group, following several days of less intense exercise.
Goalkeepers, Pol and Toni, were the only reserve players from Atlético Malagueño in today’s session, training alongside Rubén and Kameni with goalkeeping coach, Xabi Mancisidor. The group began with the usual initial warm-up exercises, ‘rondos’, attack and defence work followed by a practice match.
Injured Baptista, Toulalan and Caballero remained in the gym undergoing specific exercises, whilst Dutch central defender, Mathijsen, is still in Holland undergoing treatment by doctors there, who are in constant contact with Club medics.
The team is back to training tomorrow, Saturday 28th April, in a closed session at La Rosaleda, ahead of the press conference with coach Pellegrini, where he will announce the team line-up for Sunday’s home match against Valencia, at 6 p.m.
