Pellicer: “Tomorrow we’re going to see 11 warriors”

The Malaguista coach held a press conference in the lead-up to the match against Levante UD. “It can’t be said that we don’t have soul. I want people who believe, who are excited and who really give their all,” he expressed.

Pellicer and his players are focusing all their efforts on tomorrow's visit by Levante. “Today we have the strategy video. They are the second-best away side in the division, with a squad made for promotion. It’s true that in recent matches it’s been tough for them to see the goal, but they’re a great team,” he said about Javier Calleja's side, which he has classified as “favourite for direct promotion.”

After yesterday, Pellicer was asked how the group is doing. The coach stated that “they are working like real animals. The other day against Las Palmas we ran six kilometres more than our rival. In recent games it can’t be said that we don’t have soul. The group should not be affected by anything, it should be above the individual. I want people who believe, who are excited and who really give their all. Tomorrow we’re going to see 11 warriors. Of that I have no doubt,” he stated.

A new player from The Academy made his debut at Estadio de Gran Canaria and has sparked great enthusiasm among the fans. Álex Calvo enjoyed his first minutes with the Blue and White first team and Pellicer affirms that he “has fitted in very well with the group. Courage, self-confidence, excitement, energy and talent” is what he coveys. The manager also recalled that in his previous time at the club, he brought him up to train with the first team.

Tomorrow La Rosaleda will once again be differential. “They told me that there are 1,000 tickets remaining,” Pellicer commented. “The fans are always there, they are the ones who give us everything. Now we have two games at home coming up and we want to give continuity to our line of work. Our fans will support us as they have throughout the season. We will always be indebted to them,” he said.

Lastly, the Malaguista coach wanted to stress that “we have to continue with the mentality that every match is a final. We have to do things better than we have been,” he concluded.
