Pablo Guede assumes command of the first team

The Argentinean coach, who wore the Blue and White jersey as a player, returns to the Club to head up the first team.

Pablo Adrián Guede Barrirero, born on 12th November 1974 in Buenos Aires (Argentina), is a coach who has had a lengthy career in different prestigious international clubs.

After a promising start managing CD El Palo, Guede has spent the majority of his career as a coach in South America. Nueva Chicago (Argentina), Palestino -where he achieved a historic qualification for the group stage of the Copa Libertadores - (Chile), San Lorenzo de Almagro (Argentina), Colo-colo - with this club he won the Copa de Chile, the Torneo de Transición and two Supercopas (Chile), Al Ahli (Saudi Arabia), Monarcas Morelia (Mexico), Club Tijuana (Mexico) and Necaxa (Mexico), are the teams he’s coached up to now.

A self-confessed Malaguista, Pablo Guede is a character well known to the Blue and White fans. His charisma and dedication earned him the respect of the supporters during the two seasons he lived at La Rosaleda (97/98 and 98/99). Unsurprisingly, he was the star of the show in the historic win against Terrasa FC (4-1), scoring a hat-trick on 28th June 1998, with the lads achieving promotion to the Second Division in that match.

Pablo Guede is now the new coach of Málaga CF. He has signed for the remainder of this campaign and the upcoming 22/23 season. The Entity wishes him lots of luck heading up the team.

Welcome home, Pablo.
