Málaga CF midfielder, Pablo Fornals was in attendance, along with Yamila, the Uruguayan international from women’s team, Atlético Málaga; Basti from the MCF Foundation’s Social Department; and CaixaBank director, Juan Jesús Pozuelo. La Academia coach, Rubén Castillo acted as master of ceremonies, with the school director, Lourdes Centro also present. The event consisted of a video explaining the ‘Malaguista’ values, followed by a question and answer session with the children and Pablo and Yamila. They also took a group photograph and the Club presented the school with a commemorative poster of La Rosaleda stadium.
Pablo Fornals:“It’s wonderful to see all the children smiling and enjoying the event. It wasn’t long ago since we were here, and it was amazing to have a player come to visit us. It’s very important they look after themselves, eat healthily and study hard.”
Yamila:“This is very important as it encourages the boys and girls to grow in all aspects of life. And for us, we need to be an example for them to follow their dreams and be someone in life.”
