During 2014, the ‘Malaguista’ keeper played a total of 31 matches – 18 League games; one with French side, Ajaccio; two Copa del Rey matches with Málaga CF; and five friendlies and four World Cup games with Mexico. His performance during the World Cup was very prominent, as Mexico achieved two wins, one draw and one loss; conceding three goals in 360 minutes. A fantastic performance against the host team, Brazil kept a clean sheet.
