Málaga CF returned to training this Sunday morning for over two hours at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. Guillermo Ochoa re-joined his team today, whilst Miguel Torres was again forced to abandon the session early due to physical problems.
Like yesterday, the first half of the session, which was predominantly physical, took place inside the stadium. After 45 minutes, the team stepped on to the pitch to work with the ball for an hour and a quarter, undertaking rounds in groups as well as mini-matches on reduced sized pitches. 22 players took part, including reserve team players, Pablo and Ontiveros. Mexican-born goalkeeper, Ochoa, who was absent yesterday with the Club’s permission, returned to normal training today.
Roberto Rosales retired from the session earlier than his teammates as he sustained a slight bruise to his right foot. Miguel Torres didn’t complete the session again today as he’s suffering from increased discomfort to his left hamstring injury, and is expected to undergo diagnostic tests tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury. Marcos Angeleri, who has still not recovered from muscular problems to his right quadriceps, underwent specific training under the instruction of fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero. It is hoped he’ll gradually return to the group next week.
Tomorrow, Monday at 10:30 a.m., Málaga Club de Fútbol will return to training at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium.
