Today was time to swap classes at school for the stands at La Rosaleda stadium. A special day for almost 1,200 boys and girls who enjoyed watching their idols and chanted their names from the preferencia area of the ground. Dressed in Malaguista shirts and with the Blue and White colours painted on their faces, they didn’t stop singing and cheering on the team for the hour and a half-long session.
In regard to sport, the team stepped on to the pitch around 11:00, to a standing ovation from those watching the session. Following the usual warm-up and various exercises with the ball, the players rehearsed finishing exercises.
Erik Morán and Seleznov remained in the gym today, whilst Ricca and Pacheco, who also started out in the gym, subsequently moved on to the field of play to continue with their recoveries under the instruction of physical trainer, Manu Gestoso.
Usual homegrown players (Hicham, Keidi, Iván Rodríguez and Jack Harper) were in first team training today under the orders of Víctor Sánchez del Amo.
Tomorrow, Friday the team will play a training match (10:30) with the presence of various reserve team players, at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium.
