MCF-TV interviews Diego Buonanotte

The multi-talented Argentinean midfielder, Diego Mari Buonanotte, arrived at Málaga CF from River Plate, and has celebrated his first season in the Blue and Whites’ ranks. The player, known as ‘Dwarf’ recently spoke to the Club’s sports channel, MCF-TV.

2011
“You have to move on.  You’ve got to be positive and always look forward, as that’s the best option to move on.  One could never have imagined it – River’s relegation - but as a fan of River we have to be strong to move up to the First Division.”

2011 preseason
“In Argentina these things don’t happen.  It was my first presentation and a moment that’ll always be in my heart. I came from not feeling very good for a long time, but I had a good preseason and the coach congratulated me on various occasions.  I managed to score, I had better expectations, but even though I hadn’t many minutes, I continue training 100 per cent and I’m at Pellegrini’s disposition.”

Great teammates
“Any player will learn from players such as Van Nistelrooy and Baptista, I try and observe them to continue to improve and one day be like them.”

Málaga
“The climate is wonderful, the people are very open and that helps a lot. The people with me are really great and I want to return that on the pitch”

Amazing Copa goal against Getafe
“It’s a new team and you’ve got to give it time, I believe in this team.  I never imagined a goal like that, a goal that got us through to the next round, I had a great time and the best thing about it was the congratulations from my teammates after the match.  I had asked Santi if I could take the shot and thank God, Málaga got to continue in the Copa del Rey.”

2012 wishes
“To have minutes and that things continue to evolve, I hope that 2012 will be much better.  On a collective level, one wishes the team all the best and that all our objectives are fulfilled.”
