European goal
“This has been our objective since the beginning of the season, and now the final is in sight. Things have gone really well for us, and we need to keep fighting to achieve our goal. We need to keep calm and focused if we want to qualify for Europe, as there are still a lot of points to play for. The harder the fight, the more we’ll enjoy the victory”.
Fans’ enjoyment
“It’s important for us that the fans are happy and enjoy football. It’s one of the best things about the game, seeing the fans’ excitement and enjoyment”.
Determination
“The League is very tight, and despite the injury problems we’ve had, we need to concentrate on one match at a time and focus on the three points”.
Individual gameplan
“I’m ready to be able to support the team whenever I can, and as much as I can. I think I’ve improved with regards to my first season, and I hope to keep getting better every day. It’s not just about scoring goals. You need to be ready in defence and attack, create goal chances and maintain great game play”.
Fighting spirit, like Dario
“I always try to work as hard as possible for the team, which is essential to get to the top. Dario Silva is an amazing player, scoring 40 goals in a season, making Club history”.
Uruguayans in MCF
“I’ve always said it’s a privilege to be here. It’s thanks to them I’m with Málaga as they were such fantastic players, which leaves a lasting reminder about Uruguayan players. I hope I continue to play well, and leave the Club and the fans with great memories, which will open the door for other players”.
Uruguay national team
“It’s been 16 years since Uruguay has won anything, despite some amazing game play and moments of glory. We’re in the top of the table at the moment and hope we can stay there. I’m so proud to be part of the Uruguay national team, alongside fantastic players”.
Champion with Banfield in Argentina
It was amazing, one of the best moments of my career. The best thing about football is to be able to come away as champions. Every time we start a competition or tournament, I always dream of winning, and being at the top of the League. At the start of the season we never thought we could be champions, but we ended up near the top of the table. For us, for the Club, and for the city, it was amazing. There hadn’t been a victory like this for 110-114 years, so we have wonderful memories”.
Montevideo
“It’s the most beautiful place. My country, my home, my people, they’re what shape you as a person. It’s hard to be so far away from family and friends, but I need to focus on my career. I really enjoy being here, and if I want to go as far as I can in football, I need to be away from home”.
Málaga
“It’s so easy to adapt to living here. The weather is fantastic, my family and I are really happy. We love the beach the most I think, we spend hours there”.
