MCF Foundation’s #SiempreFuerte awards are born

Málaga CF, via its Foundation, announces the creation of social awards in memory of Pablo Ráez, with the inaugural gala taking place at Málaga’s Picasso Museum on 8th February.

#SiempreFuerte is a way of understanding life. A lesson in overcoming that a boy called Pablo Ráez taught us, and will always leave a mark on our hearts. A way of affronting difficulties that the Málaga CF Foundation wants to reclaim in his memory.

For this reason, the Club, via its Foundation, announces the launch of the #SiempreFuerte awards, where the work and social action of people, public or private entities will be recognised in the fields of solidarity, co-existence, respect, equality and overcoming.

Awards that this year count on the collaboration of El Corte Inglés and the Fundación El Pimpi, and for which a time and date for the inaugural gala has been set: Thursday 8th February, at an iconic enclave in the city, Málaga’s Picasso Museum.

The awards are divided into three categories: one where the social entities of Málaga will be included; another named the Premio Abdullah Ben Barek for the sportsperson or team that is an example to society; and the #SiempreFuerte Special Award for a person of preference in the social field.

Over the next few days the winners will be announced, chosen by a jury made up of representatives of the Club and the Foundation, the family of Pablo Ráez, the male and female first teams and the Social Departments of the Town Hall, Diputación and Junta de Andalucía.

Málaga and Andalucía have become a benchmark for the donation of bone marrow nationwide. 2017 has seen a 300 per cent increase in donations within Málaga province, thanks to, without a doubt, the message of solidarity from Pablo Ráez. A before and after that will never be forgotten thanks to a strong arm and a clear mind. An award from Pablo for all of us. Thanks to you, Pablo, we’ll always try to be strong.
