A session focused on physical work for the first team players following a weekend off. Training ended with a mini-match on a reduced-sized pitch.
The Málaga CF squad was in training for an hour and 40 minutes at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. The session kicked off with a physical circuit inside the stadium, and later moved on to the pitch to continue training. The players subsequently focused on a physical workout before undergoing exercises using the ball. The session ended with a mini-match on a reduced-sized pitch.
A total of 16 players, plus three goalkeepers (Boyko, Aarón and Guille Lara) were training at full capacity under the orders of Míchel today, amongst whom, Rosales, José Rodríguez and Duda, who trained at the same rhythm as their teammates. Juanpi, Recio, Ontiveros, Samu Casado and Sandro continued with their respective recoveries from injury separately from the group, although the Canaries-born striker touched the ball and is flying through the stages of his recovery. For his part, Kameni worked in the gym today (discomfort to left calf muscle).
Homegrown players; Luis Muñoz and Kuki Zalazar, who were in the starting line-up for Atlético Malagueño’s victory on Sunday, underwent recovery training. Mikel, Peñaranda and En-Nesyri, currently with their national teams, were absent from this Monday morning session.
