From 6th September, five ‘Malaguistas’ - Santa Cruz, Chen, Antunes, Pawlowski and Kameni – will be representing their countries in various matches.
Santa Cruz is now in Paraguay, and will be taking part in two 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifiers on 6th and 10th September, against Bolivia and Argentina in Asunción. The match against Argentina is being broadcast by Fox Sport.
Dely Valdés’ Panama also have two World Cup qualifying matches coming up. Málaga’s Roberto Chen was selected to represent his country against Jamaica and Honduras on 6th and 10th September.
Portuguese-born Antunes is available for coach, Paulo Bento, in the World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland on 6th September in Belfast. The Portuguese team will then fly from there to Boston for a friendly against Brazil four days later.
Despite being called up for the first team, the Polish Football Federation has selected Pawlowski for the under-21’s game against Sweden in Malmö on 6th September (broadcast on Sweden’s TV4), as well as an under-21’s friendly against Portugal on 10th September in Melgaco.
Finally, Kameni has again been called up to play for Cameroon in an international match against Libya on 8th September.
