To take into account:
- Kameni, Rosales and Camacho have played the 90 minutes of all 10 LaLiga matches this season. Should he be sanctioned, Camacho will miss out on the next match against FC Barcelona, due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
- Top-3 dribblers. Juanpi (45), Jony (41) and Sandro (24) are MCF’s most effective players in this respect. The Canaries-born striker is also the ‘pichichi’ with four goals.
- With three goals, former Malaguista, Duje Čop is Sporting’s top scorer in LaLiga.
Historical curiosities:
- Juan Ramón López Muñiz, Málaga CF coach in two stages (2006/2008 and 2009/2010), as well as sports director of the Entity and assistant coach to the first team (2003/04), was a Sporting de Gijón player between 1991 and 1996.
- Fernando Peralta debuted in a First Division match with CD Málaga against Sporting de Gijón, held at La Rosaleda on 04/09/1982. At 21 years and 20 days old, he became the youngest goalkeeper to defend the CD Málaga shirt in the First Division.
- Gundemaro Paniceres, CD Málaga player in 1946/47, scored the first goal for Sporting de Gijón in the First Division in 1944/45.
- In the 1930/31 season, the player-coach of FC Malagueño, Manuel López Llamosas “Travieso”, was asked by Sporting de Gijón to take part in two Cup games, once the League had finished.
