This match will end this weekend’s fixtures, and is being officiated by Murcia-born referee, Sánchez Martínez, who coincidentally also refereed the first round match, in which the rival defeated Málaga by 1-0 in Gran Canaria. On 25th February 2001, Málaga CF welcomed Unión Deportiva Las Palmas to La Rosaleda in the First Division for the first time. The 24th match of the 2000/01 season ended in a Malaguista win by 2-1, thanks to local goals from Dely Valdés and Larrainzar, and Jarni for the visitors. MCF’s starting line-up consisted of: Rafa; Rojas, Bravo, Larrainzar, Iznata (Agostinho ’46); Rufete, Movilla (Sandro ‘46), De Los Santos, Zárate (Canabal ’79); Darío Silva and Dely Valdés.
