Mario Armando Husillos, Málaga CF’s new sporting director

Málaga CF has reached an agreement with Mario Armando Husillos (Morón, Buenos Aires, 05/02/59) to join the Martiricos outfit as the head of the sporting management team. Husillos, who knows the Malaguista ‘house’ well, returns to the club at which he has been a footballer, a coach and now, once again, the sporting director. He will be officially presented to the media tomorrow, 13th December, at midday in La Rosaleda’s press room.

As a player, Mario Armando Husillos has played for Boca Juniors, Real Madrid Castilla, Loma Negra, San Lorenzo de Almagro, Real Murcia, Estudiantes de La Plata, Cosmos de Nueva York, CD Málaga, CD Tenerife, Cádiz CF, Catagena, CD Cieza and Atlético Malagueño.
As a coach, Husillos’ career began with Deportivo Morón and continued with San Lorenzo de Almagro, Unión Central de Bolivia, Real Murcia, Málaga B (Atlético Malagueño), and he formed a part of the coaching team of Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad.
As a sporting director, the Argentinean started off with San Lorenzo de Almagro; Real Murcia was the next destination where he was at the helm of the sporting division, before he came to Málaga Club de Fútbol, a club to which he has always felt greatly involved.

Málaga CF’s director general made the official announcement of Mario Armando Husillos’ appointment as sporting director of the Club: “We’re very happy indeed, it’s an investment for the long term.  We’ve always been very happy with him and he’s coming back more motivated than ever to progress and help Málaga CF”.
