Málaga Club de Fútbol ratifies Manolo Gaspar in his role as head of Sports Management at the Entity.
Manuel Gaspar Haro (Málaga, 1981) brings everything required, both professionally and sentimentally, to the helm of the Club’s sports management.
As a homegrown player, he shone as he made his way up the ranks and was one of the pillars of the historic Málaga CF that competed in the silver division. In addition, with the first team, he played for three years in the elite between 2008 and 2011.
After hanging up his boots with the team from his local neighbourhood, El Palo, he returned to Málaga CF in the 13/14 campaign in a scouting role. Subsequently, he served as technical secretary and gained the total confidence of the sports directors who preceded him (Husillos, Arnau and Caminero). Within his team, passion, a good atmosphere and Malaguismo permeate the ‘Cueva’ at La Rosaleda, where his inseparable scouters, Martín Viberti and Francisco Capote continue to work tirelessly.
Since 25th October 2019, on an interim basis, he has served as MCF’s sports director, taking the lead during a complex time during an economic situation with significant restrictions. However, his commitment to Pellicer as coach, the exercise of responsibility with the departure of Antoñín to Granada CF, the signings of Tete Morente, Buenacasa and Aarón Ñíguez in a limited market, and the recent renewal of Hicham show Manolo’s mettle, and his ability to handle any situation.
Malagueño, young, yet highly experienced, Manolo Gaspar represents the pride of the Malaguista feeling perfectly. A man of the house who lives his dream every day, working for Málaga Club de Fútbol. Congratulations, keep up the good work, Manolo!
