Four Málaga CF players will be flag-bearers during Spain’s match against Turkey in the Euro 2016 on Friday.
Ruth, Yoli, Lucía and Aurora from Málaga CF’s women’s team, will be in charge of carrying the Spanish flag on Friday in the match between ‘La Roja’ and Turkey, taking place in Nice at 9 p.m.
The Malaguistas have been selected by Coca-Cola, one of the sponsors of Euro 2016 currently underway in France, to travel to France and be in charge of flying the national flag representing the values of football.
The players from MCF’s ‘cadete’ team (some of whom are of ‘infantil’ age) compete in Group 3 of the men’s 4th División Andaluza, as a women’s category doesn’t exist.
Last season they didn’t clinch any victories, but despite this, the ‘Jabatas’ (as they are known in the footballing world) competed and gave their all in every match. This season they achieved two victories and one draw, accumulating 7 points at the end of the regular season. Coca-Cola, also a sponsor of the Malaguista entity, considers they are the best flag-bearers of Spanish football, for their commitment and love for the sport.
