Joaquín Muñoz Benavides (Málaga, 1999) is a young, skilled winger, who plays predominantly on the left wing. In formative football he played in the ranks of La Unidad (2005-06) and Puerto Malagueño (2006-15) on a provincial level, before making the leap to the Club Atlético de Madrid youth ranks (2015-18).
As part of the Atlético reserve team, in the 18/19 season, he stood out by scoring 7 goals in 31 matches (29 league games, two in Second Division promotion playoffs). Subsequently he debuted with the Red and White first team in LaLiga against SD Huesca, at El Alcoraz, on 19th January 2019 (Simeone’s men won by 0-3).
Huesca signed Joaquín in the 19/20 season and, midway through the season, he was loaned out to CD Mirandés (15 matches, 1 goal), also in LaLiga SmartBank. On his return, at the start of the 20/21 campaign, he played 3 matches with Huesca in the top flight.
