Malagueño ‘pull out all the stops’ to beat Macha Real (3-0)
Atlético Malagueño and Atlético Mancha Real met for the 29th match of Group Four in the Third Division, a clash in which the Malagistas beat the Jaén-based side by a clear three-nil.
The match between the Malaguistas and the Jaén side was closer than the final scoreboard reflected. The fruits of Jaime Molina’s men’s labour were clear at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol ground as two teams who are battling for promotion from Group Four of the Third Division met.
The home side needed barely 10 minutes to score the first goal of the match, thanks to Juan, who in minute 11, battered the visitor’s goal with a shot that rocketed past Mendoza. However, Mancha Real, upped their game and looked for options, but they were faced with an on-form Pol throughout the match who produced some awesome saves.
This first half saw the second Malagista goal, secured by Julián (36’) with a great shot that was, frankly, unstoppable. With two goals to nil, the half time whistle blew and Málaga were solvent.
It was practically the same script for the second half: a hard-fought match with the Jaém team trying to find a goal whilst the Malaguista scored for the third time, thanks to a strong boot from Toni in the final stretch of the match (81’).
In the end, a three-nil win for Atlético Malagueño which puts Jaime Molina’s troops in fifth position, moving ahead of their rival in this match, Mancha Real, and meaning that they’re now two points of the promotion zone to Second Division B.
Their next match will take place on 28th February against C.D Ronda at 5 p.m in Ronda.
