Malagueño end their season with a home game, hoping for great support from the fans

Atlético Malagueño are hosting Nerja this Sunday at 12 p.m., in the ‘Campo Federación Malagueña de Fútbol’, the 42nd League match of Third Division Group IX.

Jaime Molina’s team is hoping for maximum support from Blue and Whites’ fans, in celebration of Málaga CF’s first team having the possibility to qualify for the Champions League this Sunday.  Málaga plays host to Sporting at La Rosaleda, the last BBVA League match of the season, beginning at 8 p.m.

Malagueño are ending their 2011/12 season with a provincial derby, and looking for a win to secure their fourth position in the table, providing Maracena lose to Arenas de Armilla.  Málaga’s reserve team is currently fifth with 73 points, whilst Maracena are in fourth place with 75 points.  Loja, Estepona and Marbella have already qualified for the promotion play-offs to move up to ‘Segunda B’, with one place remaining for the two hopeful teams.

Malagueño need to win in order to reach the play-offs, and a victory would give them 76 points.  They also need the ‘Granadinos’ to lose or draw, as the goal average between the two this season, is the same (the result was 1-2 in both matches between Malagueño and Maracena).  The Blue and Whites however, have the advantage with goals scored and conceded this season (+38) compared to Maracena (+22).
