This Saturday Atlético Malagueño drew with Union Deportivo Maracena (1-1), on Granada soil, in the 31st game of Group IX Third Division. Rafa Gil’s team got the early goal, but the home side levelled mid way through the first half. It was a peaceful afternoon in which Almerian official García Rodríguez refereed an intense game in front of approximately 400 spectators at the Maracena Sports Complex. After this vital game in the fight for Second Division B promotion play-offs, the malaguista second team remains fourth in the League with 56 points, three more than Maracena (5th, 53 points). Next week will see another decisive game at the top of the table with a provincial derby when Málaga face Ronda.
