Málaga Club de Fútbol and EVIAN present La Academia Summer Camp

The Blue and Whites and EVIAN, official Málaga Club de Fútbol partner, presented the II La Academia Summer Camp in La Rosaleda today, which takes place from the 24th June to the 21st July, in Hotel Sol Andalusí in Alhaurín de la Torre.

The latest commercial for Evian’s ‘Live Young’ campaign was aired at the event, starring Málaga’s first team players, Martín Demichelis, Joaquín Sánchez, Jérémy Toulalan and Salomón Rondón.  Business development manager, Vicente Casado; Málaga Veterans’ Association coordinator, Ernesto Terrón; La Academia Summer Camp coordinator, Iván Blázquez; and Antonio Rojo from EVIAN, were all present at the inauguration.

The II La Academia Summer Camp begins in June 2012, following the success of the first Camp, held last summer.  Former Málaga players will again be taking part in the Camp, sharing their knowledge and experience, as well as the supervision and coordination of Málaga Club de Fútbol’s La Academia.  As well as learning about football, and playing matches, the children and teenagers will also be involved in other sports and activities.

Statements

(Vicente Casado) "We all know about summer camps.  But Málaga wanted to have its own Camp, it’s an idea we’ve had for a while, and having a Camp here in Málaga is fantastic. La Academia Summer Camp is of the same high standard as everything that’s carried out here at Málaga Club de Fútbol.  For this reason, the Camp has a brilliant coaching team, thanks to members of La Academia, and support from the Málaga Veterans.

(Carlos Antón) "La Academia’s coaching team will bring their method of work and expertise to the Camp, so the children can learn the work carried out at La Academia, and the values taught by the professionals”.

(Ernesto Terrón) "We’ve chosen various professionals to work at the Camp, as part of the technical coaching team”.

Four weeks, with three different options
La Academia Summer Camp consists of 4 weeks, starting on the 24th June, then the 1st, 8th and 15th of July.  There are three ways to sign up for these weeks, two being on a daily basis (one including transport every day from La Rosaleda), and another including accommodation.  Each week is arranged according to age groups: From 5 to 7 years, 8 to 10, 11 to 13 and over 14’s.

Excellent facilities at the Sol Andalusí
The four weeks will all be held at Hotel Sol Andalusí, in Alhaurín de la Torre.  This modern, four star hotel has spacious studios and apartments, several football pitches, grass areas for other sports, paddle tennis and tennis courts, gym, heated indoor pool, and two outdoor pools.

A training programme full of activities
The main activity is football, but not just practical training on all levels, but also the theoretical aspects of the game, giving special attention to competition training.
As well as dedicating five hours a day to football practice and training, including 7-a-side, beach football, and football tennis, the children and teenagers in La Academia Summer Camp will get involved in other sports, such as hockey, tennis, paddle tennis, golf, baseball and swimming.

Competitive prices for a top quality Summer Camp
Depending on the type of registration, prices for La Academia Summer Camp range from 370 euros for just daily activities, 430 euros for daily activities including transport  (La Rosaleda – Hotel Sol Andalusí – La Rosaleda), and up to 510 euros to include accommodation.
