Málaga CF is now in Athens

Málaga are now in Athens, ahead of the return leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off match tomorrow against Panathinaikos. Following a three and a half hour charter flight, the group landed at Elefterios Venizelos airport in the Greek capital.

Led by Club Adviser, Francisco Martín Aguilar and Business Development Manager, Vicente Casado, the group of 140 people consisted of the players, coaching team, Club staff, journalists and fans, as well as mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, Málaga’s Provincial Government president, Elías Bendodo, and three former ‘Malaguista’ presidents, Eduardo Padilla, Federico Beltrán and Fernando Puche.
 
The team landed at 1:30 p.m. and went straight to Hotel Metropolitan in Athens, where they’ll remain until 7:30 p.m. when they’ll leave for the Spyros Louis Olympic stadium for a final training session before tomorrow’s match.
