Málaga’s first team players visited 10,000 boys and girls in Málaga schools as part of the ‘Blue and Whites’ Values’ campaign, where they conveyed the positive values of football such as fair play, tolerance, respect and the importance of healthy living and a balanced diet. The campaign is run by the Málaga Club de Fútbol Foundation and ‘la Caixa’ Welfare Project to educate through sport.

The ‘Blue and Whites’ Values’ campaign was launched in February by Málaga CF’s director general, Vicente Casado, and regional manager of CaixaBank in eastern Andalucía, Victorino Lluch, and has fulfilled its objective of visiting 15 Málaga schools to convey to 10,000 boys and girls the positive values from within the world of football.
Camacho, Castillejo, Recio, Samuel, Sergi Darder, Tissone, Luis Alberto, Javi Guerra, Miguel Torres, Kameni, Ochoa and Angeleri all told the students of their personal and professional experiences, and highlighted the importance of people growing through sport.
The campaign involved visits to primary schools reinforced with a book and film starring the ‘Malaguista’ players who have ‘Blue and Whites’ Values’, along with a talk by La Academia coach, Mario Rueda, where the children learned the importance of fair play, friendship and a healthy lifestyle.
‘Blue and Whites’ Values’, is a project which has brought great excitement to young ‘Malaguistas’, and took the players back to their childhood for a day.  This initiative shows how sport and education are strongly tied, and that the positive values from the world of football and sport can be a way of life on and off the pitch.
