Málaga CF extends contracts of two young stars: Rafa de Vicente and Víctor Ruiz

Rafa de Vicente and Víctor Ruiz, who have moved up the Málaga CF ranks and currently part of Atlético Malagueño, have reached an agreement with Málaga Club de Fútbol to extend their contract until 2015/16 and 2016/17 respectively.

The attacking midfielder and left-winger are two important players in the Blue and Whites’ reserve team.  Salva Ballesta’s boys are currently in third place in the group, two points away from leaders, Marbella FC.  Having been proclaimed winter champions of Third Division Group IX, Atlético Malagueño are travelling to Antequera this afternoon, including Rafa and Víctor, for the 22nd League game of the season.

Rafa de Vicente (18/07/93, Málaga) arrived at Málaga Club de Fútbol in the second year ‘Alevín’ team, having started at Los Prados and his school team, San Estanislao.  Having moved up the ranks, winning various Andalucían championships (Alevín and Cadete) and the Copa del Rey Juvenil runners-up in 2012, the third year Administration, and Business Management student is a permanent fixture in the Blue and Whites’ reserve team, having played 18 matches so far this season.

Víctor Ruiz (12/04/95, Málaga), began his career in Málaga CF’s lower ranks, following the footsteps of his brother, striker Álex Ruiz.  A Spain international with the under-19’s, under-17’s and under-16’s, the team came second in the Caspian Cup, the ‘Infantil’ Andalucían championship, and along with Rafa, was runner-up in the Copa del Rey in Burriana.  Víctor has been in great demand by the first team this season, having taken part in training sessions, and has also participated in 13 games with Atlético Malagueño so far this year.
