Málaga CF closes the central European tour in victory (2-3)

Juande Ramos’ lads win against Fortuna Düsseldorf with goals from Sandro, Rosales and youth player En-Nesyri.

Equality between the two sides prevailed in the beginning of the match. Málaga CF, looking in great form out on the pitch, tried to get control of the ball but Fortuna Düsseldorf were determined not to make it easy. Juanpi, who was very active between the lines, commanded various attack moves, whilst our goalkeeper, Carlos Kameni, had to remain alert due to several near misses from the host side.

En minute 20, Juanpi, escaped from a contra-attack on the right wing and filtered a great pass to Sandro who mad himself quickly available. The Canarian-born player took the ball inside the area and skilfully shot it in, putting Juande Ramos’ team ahead.

Barely three minutes later, Fink, a forward for the Bavarians, equalised after booting one through a practically open door (1-1).

With the draw, both squads battled to maintain possession and cause trouble around each other’s goal area, but neither was successful and the first half ended with the 1-1 draw.

After the half time break, the German team tried to get through the Malaguista defence and the keeper Kameni had to intervene to stop some shots from the locals. Juande Ramos moved the bench around and put on En-Nesyri, Pablo and Ricca for Sandro, Juanpi and Jony. And only a minute later, the youth player, En-Nesyri managed to get the ball into Roberto Rosales; area and took a shot which reached the back of the net, making it then 1-2.

In minute 71, En-Nesyri swooped in on a bad pass by a Fortuna defender and, through his intelligence and playfulness, got the third Malaguista goal.

With just a few minutes to go, in minute 83, Yildirim, took a rebound from a double from Kameni and notched it up to 2-3 – the definitive score this match.

Málaga CF closed this tour of Holland, Belgium and Germany with this victory and now heads back to the Costa del Sol.
