Málaga CF celebrates San Miguel’s half century in the city

Various Blue and Whites’ first team players visited the factory of the Málaga beer brand today, to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Malaguistas, Pablo Fornals and Aarón Escandell found out first-hand how the Málaga beer brand was born, and enjoyed a tour of the factory.  Both were impressed at how much they learned during their visit.

Team captain, Duda, as well as Juankar, Miguel Torres and Sandro held a press conference to the assembled media at the event, in which Weligton was also present.  Subsequently, all those present sat around the table for a San Miguel beer tasting, coupled with various snacks.

Also in attendance were Club advisers; Antonio Benítez, Abdullah Ben Barek and Francisco Martín Aguilar; along with member of the Málaga CF Foundation’s Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’.

David Pejenaute, Sponsorship Manager of Grupo Mahou San Miguel: “It’s an honour for the Málaga factory to hold such an event in which the sponsor, in this case San Miguel, is intertwined with Málaga, which is one of the brand’s main assets.  In addition, it’s great for the players to have a tour of the factory’s facilities”.

Duda: “This event is very important for a home brand, a sponsor who has always supported Málaga for many years”.

Juankar: “They have enjoyed many successful years, which I’m certain will continue until the world ends.  I hope things go well and they remain with us”.
