Málaga Club de Fútbol is in the second part of the draw, in which the five Second Division teams (Girona, Alcorcón, Jaén, Recreativo and Las Palmas) will be paired with one of the 13 First Division Clubs not taking part in European competition. Pairings will then be drawn out of the eight remaining First Division sides.
The first part of the draw corresponds to the First Division sides who are currently competing in Europe, who will be paired with one of the seven qualified Second Division B teams (Cartagena, Algeciras, Gimnàstic, Racing, Lleida, Xàtiva and Sant Andreu).
