Málaga CF and Villarreal CF agree transfer of Samu Castillejo and Samuel García

Málaga Club de Fútbol and Villarreal Club de Fútbol have come to an agreement for the transfer of players, Samuel García and Samu Castillejo, who are now part of the Castellón-based team. The Martiricos outfit wishes them both the best of luck during the next stage of their professional careers.

Samuel García
Samuel García Sánchez (Málaga, 13/07/1990) spent two seasons with Málaga Club de Fútbol’s first team, taking part in a total of 66 official matches with the Blue and Whites, scoring nine goals.  After moving up to the first team from the reserve squad in 2013/14, Samuel García played 27 games during his first season in the Spanish footballing elite, scoring four goals, as well as one Copa del Rey match.  During his second season with the ‘Malaguista’ first team, 2014/15, the Blue and Whites’ player took part in 32 BBVA League matches, scoring five goals, whilst in the Copa del Rey he played six games.
 
Samu Castillejo
Samuel Castillejo (Barcelona, 18/01/1995) moved up to the first team last season.  Following his time in La Academia and with Atlético Malagueño, he made the first team in 2014/15.  Castillejo participated in 34 BBVA League matches during his debut season, scoring one goal.  He also took part in five Copa del Rey games.
