Lorenzo González, new forward for Málaga CF

The young Spanish-Swiss striker, from Manchester City FC, signs to Málaga Club de Fútbol in ownership.

Lorenzo will shortly travel from England to Málaga to sign his new contract at the Club’s offices, and pass the mandatory medical examination at Vithas Salud Rincón Medical Center Rosaleda before joining the first team in training.

Beginnings in Switzerland

Lorenzo José González was born in Gran Canaria on 10th April 2000 (19 years old), and soon moved to Genf (Switzerland) with his family. There he joined the youth ranks of Servette FC where he remained until he was 16. His goal-scoring skills called the attention of one of the European greats, Manchester City, who signed him in the summer of 2016.

Time in England

Over the past three seasons, Lorenzo has belonged to the lower ranks of Manchester City FC. With the English outfit he competed in the UEFA Youth League and the Premier Reserve League, until the U-23 category. During his first year with the Citizens he scored 14 goals in 22 matches in the U-18 Premier League.

International

The new Malaguista striker has been an international within Switzerland’s youth ranks in the U-15, U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19 squads.
