LaLiga increases number of players per training group to 14

LaLiga has communicated to Clubs the possibility of increasing the number of players in each training group from 10 to 14, although all the Phase 3 safety measures will remain in place.

As from tomorrow, Tuesday 26th May, Málaga CF will begin training in groups made up of 14 players. This is an increase of four players available to Sergio Pellicer in each work group.

As indicated within a statement by LaLiga, the measure comes into effect this Monday 25th May. The organisation informed clubs of the option to increase the group numbers, but emphasised the importance of complying with the measures set in Phase 3.

Despite the increase from 10 to 14 players, the groups within the Professional Football League continue group training sessions within Phase 3, and must therefore meticulously respect the sanitary measures and protocols established by LaLiga.

In addition, the Legal department of LaLiga has specified that, once the groups of 14 players have been set, player exchanges between groups will not be possible, even on different training days.
