La Senyera, an emblem of resilience in #LevanteMálaga
Málaga CF pays tribute to the Comunidad Valenciana which has faced the devastation caused by the DANA natural disaster. José Luis Puche, as a symbol of solidarity, offers a moving representation of La Senyera.
The #LevanteMálaga match at the Ciutat de València, originally scheduled for Monday 4th November at 20:30, had to be postponed due to force majeure. This match, corresponding to LALIGA HYPERMOTION matchday 13, transcends football. In these challenging times for the Comunidad Valenciana, the Blue and White club stands in solidarity with those affected by the DANA, highlighting this region in the design of the match poster and captain’s armband for this Wednesday 27th November at 19:00 at the Ciutat de València.
The Comunidad Valenciana is an embrace of light and colour, where orange groves bloom under the warm sun, and paella becomes the heart of every family gathering. In its streets, ‘Fallas’ dance with fire and joy, illuminating the spirit of a community that celebrates its culture with fervour. Now, more than ever, that same passion transforms into resilience, a testament to the indomitable spirit of a people who rise with determination in the face of adversity.
For the design of the captain’s armband and the poster for the match against Levante UD, José Luis Puche captures the essence of the Comunidad Valenciana with a profound sense of homage and condolence. In the artwork, La Senyera, the region's flag, unfurls its vibrant red stripes in a dance that ultimately transforms into a black ribbon or mourning.
With this gesture, Málaga CF seeks to convey a message of support and hope, demonstrating that in difficult times, unity is our greatest strength. Our condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims, our commitment stands with all those affected, and our gratitude extends to the exemplary efforts of the State Security Forces, whose dedication has been tireless.
