The Málaga CF players and coaching staff underwent a full blood analysis with a medical team from Hospital Quirónsalud Málaga, which travelled to La Rosaleda’s facilities this Tuesday 27th January.
Dr. Pablo Campos, head of the first team’s medical services, led the operation alongside Dr. César Ramírez, Quirónsalud’s coordinator for Málaga CF, Dr. Juan Enrique Puche, and nurse Lidia Alcázar. The primary goal of these tests is to monitor the players’ health and physiological performance. The samples will be analysed at the Quirónsalud Málaga Clinical Analysis Laboratory.
These analyses are in addition to the medical, cardiological, and supplementary tests carried out on the players throughout the season. “Planning and studying the physiology of healthy athletes is essential to optimise their sports health and ensure they achieve maximum performance. In this regard, Hospital Quirónsalud’s commitment to Málaga CF has always been to adapt to the extensive periodic analytical protocols required by high-performance athletes,” said César Ramírez.
Juan Enrique Puche, cardiologist at Hospital Quirónsalud Málaga, underscored that “these types of analyses allow for the early detection of possible metabolic, nutritional, or haematological alterations that could affect the players’ performance or recovery.”
This medical check-up is part of the agreement between Málaga CF and Quirónsalud Málaga, the Club’s official medical provider, reinforcing their joint commitment to preventive and precision medicine applied to sports, aimed at supporting both performance and long-term health.
