The team receives LALIGA's integrity talk

A representative from LaLiga visited the team at La Rosaleda before yesterday's training session to brief players and coaches on betting and sportsmanship.

For several seasons, LaLiga has included talks on betting as part of its communication plan for the 42 clubs that make up the Spanish Professional Football League. The main goal is to raise awareness about the importance of not betting, thereby avoiding individual or club-level sanctions.

As is customary since LaLiga launched this initiative, Málaga CF’s first team received another integrity talk, this time led by representative Pedro Varas. He addressed the players and coaching staff in the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room at La Rosaleda Stadium.

During the session, Varas stressed the importance of understanding the risks of misconduct both on and off the pitch, stressing the values of tolerance and respect towards teammates, opponents, referees, fans, and football itself. He also explained the prevention and control mechanisms established by LaLiga to avoid such situations.

Málaga CF, in line with its commitment to the values of sport, maintains a strong stance against match-fixing and in favour of integrity in football. As part of this commitment, the club promotes various initiatives aimed at educating and raising awareness among its players, from the first team to the MCF Academy teams.

Thanks to these ongoing communication plans, the club continues to strengthen its role as an organisation committed to integrity and fair play.
