Atlético Málaga defeated Ciconia Negra by 0-5 on Saturday in a peaceful match for the ‘Malaguistas’. Neither the early start nor the distance between Málaga and Plasencia affected the good performance from Manuel Hernández Navarrete’s players. Cristina, Laura - on two occasions, Carmen and Marina were the goal-scorers.
Atlético Malagueño were not in competition this weekend. The first stage of the UEFA Regions’ Cup was taking place, an amateur tournament, so there was no Third Division competition.
Teams representing La Academia in the Zaratán Cup, which is taking place in Valladolid, were victorious in all of Sunday morning’s matches. Also, the ‘Alevín’ under-12s won the Estepa tournament, in which Estepa CF, Churriana CF, CD Pablo VI and Sevilla FC took part.
