Kilometre 3: From Pizarra to Fuengirola

#AlmeríaMálaga left many positives for the LaLiga 1|2|3 leaders, a Málaga Club de Fútbol who won their third consecutive match of the 2018/19 season.

Three out of three and nine points

An unbeatable start when it comes to results. Three consecutive wins, the last two whilst keeping a clean sheet (superb save from Munir in stoppage time to keep the ‘zero’ yesterday) and a path that is reminiscent of the 07/08 campaign in the Second Division, also with Muñiz at the helm, in which the team accumulated seven wins out of the first seven games.

A very Malagueño goal

From Pizarra to Los Boliches, with Almería as the destination. The 0-1 win was made by the connection between Pacheco – who made his official debut wearing the Blue and White jersey – and Harper, who scored his first goal with the first team. A textbook counterattack between both players, a luxury assist from the number ‘22’ and a lethal shot from the homegrown star. A memorable ‘golazo’.

Victory 399 as MCF

From Adra to… Almería. Málaga Club de Fútbol has claimed it’s 399th win in an official match between all competitions since the re-founding of the Club in 1994. The team will be seeking victory number 400 next Saturday against Tenerife at La Rosaleda.

45 matchdays in promotion positions… with Muñiz

The Asturian coach continues to give lustre to a curious and striking statistic. Between the 07/08 season and now, in the Second Division with Málaga CF, he has always maintained the team in promotion positions to the gold category of Spanish football.

Debut of Boulahroud and re-debut of Mula

As well as Pacheco, Moroccan-born midfielder Badr Boulahroud made his debut as a Malaguista, joining Almería-Málaga in the second half. Álex Mula also played his first minutes of the season, creating a great chance in stoppage time to take the team to a 0-2 lead.

10 out of 10 fans

There are no words. An impressive response from fans who travelled to the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos. Nearly a thousand Blue and White fans cheered on the team throughout, returning to Málaga delighted with three points. Spectacular supporters.
