Game, set and networking at El Higuerón

Málaga CF’s Business Club hosted a padel event yesterday at El Higuerón, bringing together representatives from Málaga’s business community for a day focused on networking and camaraderie.

Where sport and values meet, experiences like the one this Thursday 8th May at El Higuerón come to life. Málaga CF’s Business Club hosted another successful networking event, once again highlighting the strength of unity and collaboration.

The day began at 10:00 with an inspiring talk by Berni Rodríguez, former CB Unicaja de Málaga player and current ambassador for the club. He spoke passionately about the power of sport as a vehicle for connection, growth, and learning. His engaging and heartfelt message was warmly received and applauded by attendees.

Then it was time to lace up and grab the paddle. For two hours, representatives of Málaga CF’s partner companies faced off in a padel tournament divided into three categories - bronze, silver, and gold. The time flew by in a flurry of competitive rallies, shared laughter, and a spirit of true sportsmanship.

Once the matches wrapped up and everyone had freshened up after their efforts, the group headed to Restaurante Arara to cap off the day with a delicious cocktail reception. It was the perfect setting to continue exchanging ideas, strengthen connections, and celebrate the value of being together.

Club advisor, Antonio López and Málaga CF ambassador, Jesús Gámez represented the Club at an event that once again highlighted the strength of the business community supporting Málaga CF. “It’s been fantastic to spend the day with our Malaguista family, the Business Club. We've enjoyed an extraordinary day, stepping away from our usual business routines,” said López.

Whilst Juan Pablo Somé, manager at GTL Alquiler, expressed his satisfaction, describing it as “a very engaging day at unbeatable facilities.” Whereas Manuel Iranzo, Events Director at BCD Meetings & Events, remarked that “it was a wonderful day we had been eagerly looking forward to.”

Between drop shots, volleys, and promising business opportunities, the true victory was continuing to play as a team.
