“It doesn’t matter if you’re thinking about hitting the 50-point mark and a second round of playoffs. You can’t think about that, you need to score two or three points more than those now in the relegation zone,” he said in regard to MCF’s place in the standings.

On an individual level, “we all want to play and this year I’ve had to wait longer for my opportunity. Today I got it and I’m working hard every day for when it’s my turn to help the team,” he added.

Thinking about the near future, Málaga-Alavés is coming up on Sunday. “It’s the most important game we have. We have to be stronger at home and more solid than before. Ending the first round of the competition with three points must be our priority. Hopefully, at our ground in front of our fans, we’ll make them happy with a good game,” he said.
